My first Blackmagic Pocket Cinema Camera footage

I got my Blackmagic Design Pocket Cinema Camera (BMPCC) this week, at long last. Sadly didn't have the time to do an extensive shoot - only a few quick shots. So without further ado - here's my first own footage from the BMPCC.

Please note the 'soft' highlights, this is not due to the camera, nor is the lens to blaim - this was a special temporary coating applied to the 17mm lens by my 2 year old son, who also stars in this edit at the end. I sadly did not notice it until I got home, and since there wasn't any time to do a reshoot - it ended up in the edit nontheless.

All footage was shot with the 'film'-mode. The lenses used were the Olympus 17mm f/2.8 and the Walimex Pro T*3.1 14mm ED AS IF UMC Cine lens (which is a rebranded Samyang).

I've graded the footage as Kodak 5207 Vision3 using FilmConvert, and a slight curves adjustment on a per-shot basis. The grading is intended to convey the feeling that autumn is coming.

The music was fetched from the Vimeo Music Store. It is performed by the Soni Ventorum Wind Quintet.

I'll get to some more extensive shooting this weekend. With a set of cleaned lenses.
