Whoever told you that 4K is something for rich people, that it was still out of reach for average Joe, couldn't be more wrong. I just stumbled on the (new) prices on the Seiki 39 inch and Seiki 50 inch 4K UltraHD televisions on Amazon, and was pretty amazed.
You can now own a 39" 4K panel for under $500. If you want a more sizeable panel, the 50 inch model from Seiki, you won't even have to put $800 on the counter. These are real bargains!
UPDATE - There's now also a 55" version of the Seiki TV, going for $791 on Amazon.com
But are they any good? Well... if video-guru Philip Bloom is to believed (he owns the 39 inch model) it is actually pretty 'damn fine'.
If you're up for it - hit up the links to Amazon. I personally don't think these super-deals will last terribly long!
