Over at EOSHD Andrew Reid got hands-on time with the Kinefinity KineRAW MINI camera from China. This affordable cinema camera enters the same playing field that Blackmagic, ARRI and RED are roaming already. It's the smaller sibling to the Kinefinity KineRAW S35.
The MINI records 2K uncompressed RAW from its Super 35mm sensor to a SSD. There's an optional 4K-output module which can feed a 4K to an external recorder.
As Andrew gets to the point of the matter - it seems this camera has (like practically every camera) its noted in the sideline. But as also becomes clear: Kinefinity are a company willing to listen to its users. They fixed a bug via firmware update within 24 hours of reporting it!
For more - head on over to EOSHD for the entire review by Andrew, and of course some footage.
