One of the great Hollywood composers, James Horner, has died in a plane crash at age 61. He was known for the scores he composed for over 150 films, amongst which Titanic, Braveheart, A Beautiful Mind and more recently Avatar. He crashed with a small private plane north of Santa Barbara.
To my, personally, he shaped a big part of the sound of movies in the '90s and beginning of the '00s. I remember playing the scores of Braveheart and Enemy at the Gates a lot (amongst many other scores). He always had his personal signature with scores. I certainly will miss his touch on movies.
